Introducing the Mental Health Competency Framework
Cambridgeshire County Council, Peterborough City Council, YMCA Trinity Group, educational establishments and local NHS services have developed a competency based model of assessment to guide schools and colleges in identifying their training needs.
The aim is to ensure staff at all levels have the confidence to support children and young people by building core resilience skills, identifying emerging concerns at an early stage, and signposting to appropriate care pathways or interventions where possible.
Funded through the DfE Wellbeing for Education Return and Wellbeing for Education Recovery programmes, this 1hr webinar will introduce the framework and explain how it works. You will also gain access to an accompanying Training Needs Analysis to use with staff to help you adopt a needs-led approach to procuring mental health training.
