Our Healthy Schools Network and Support Service helps schools build resilience among their children and young people, maximising their health and wellbeing so they can reach their full potential. We can provide FREE, interactive, engaging, tailor-made sessions in schools to suit the needs of the children and their timetables.
Our service can deliver:
- Catch Your Breath: Prevention programmes for young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, including support for ESOL and SEN settings to discourage smoking and vaping behaviour.
- Young & Free: Sexual health awareness sessions for young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. A 2 hour interactive workshop for Key Stage 4 & 5 students to learn about healthy relationships and how to stay safe.
- Healthy Schools Accreditation Programme: Encourages schools to review the initiatives in place and the work being carried out to improve the health, wellbeing and resilience of the school community. Support is provided along the way of the school’s journey to gaining accredited status.
- Smoking & Vaping Cessation Support: Free 12 Week Cessation Programmes delivered to support children and young people quit smoking or vaping within schools.
- Partnership Network: We lead the local Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Healthy Schools Stakeholder Group to facilitate the sharing of up to date local news and service offers.
