Healthwatch Cambridgeshire and Healthwatch Peterborough

We are the independent champion for people who use health and social care services in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Our job is to make sure that those who run local health and care services understand and act on what really matters to people.

We listen to what people like about services and what could be improved. We share what people tell us with those with the power to make change happen. We encourage services to involve people in decisions that affect them.

We also help people find the information they need about services in their area. Our Information service can help you find:

  • health and social care services near to you
  • what to do if you have a concern or complaint
  • organisations that can give you help or advice

Children and young people

Our Healthwatch has listened to young people’s ideas for improving mental health services.

We have written three important reports about young people’s experiences of this care:

  • ‘Minding us: Improving services for young people at greater risk of mental ill health’
  • ‘Being Happy, Being Me’
  • ‘Thriving’

We have shared this feedback with the people who plan and pay for care: They have used some of the young people’s ideas to help them shape mental health services differently.

We still want to hear more from young people and the adults in their lives to make sure that the health and care services they use meet their needs.
