To coincide with World Mental Health Day on 10th October, the YMCA Trinity Group is launching a poster competition focusing on the YMCA England & Wales’ new Mental Health Campaign called Small Talks.
The mental health of children and young people, as well as that of adults, has come strongly to the forefront of public attention recently: 1 in 6 children aged 5 – 16 have a probable mental health disorder (NHS.uk, 2020).
Small Talks – Big Difference; YMCA England and Wales’ Mental Health campaign encourages everyone to take small actions to break down the barriers around talking about mental health.

Successful winners will have their poster design shared across the YMCA partner network, receive gift vouchers for their school and a ‘Small Talks’ goody bag.
Alongside the poster competition, schools can register to receive a free assembly presentation to use as an introduction to mental health, and further Small Talks resources.
To register your school’s interest in taking part in this competition, or to take advantage of the free assembly sessions, please email [email protected] asap and further details will be sent in return.
The deadline for competition entries is Friday 15th October with winners announced after half-term.
