Congratulations to Holywell C of E Primary School on achieving the Healthy Schools Award and demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting the health, wellbeing and resilience of its students with student voice, physical activity and emotional support woven throughout school life.
Holywell is committed to ensuring that all children have opportunities to participate and enjoy being active. Through initiatives such as Move & Thrive, Holywell has identified students who may be missing out on extracurricular activities and introduced targeted opportunities to help them build confidence, develop friendships and enjoy physical activity.
Student voice plays an important role across the school, with children helping to shape activities and taking on responsibilities through School Council, Junior Travel Ambassadors and the Year 6 Listening Service.
Holywell’s commitment to health and wellbeing is reflected in its school ethos of Flowing, Strengthening and Deepening, encouraging pupils to develop healthy habits, resilience and a sense of responsibility towards others.
Holywell C of E Primary School is a wonderful example of how listening to children, identifying barriers and adapting provision can create meaningful opportunities for all students to feel included, supported and able to thrive.
