Nat West Money Sense celebrates Global Money Week; 22nd – 28th March 2021. The celebration takes place in March each year to raise awareness of economic citizenship and engage young people worldwide on the issue.
Global Money Week (GMW) promotes efforts aimed at improving financial literacy of young people. The ultimate goal of the campaign is to ensure that all young people have access to high-quality financial education so that they learn about money matters which will enable them to make smart financial decisions in the future.
‘Take care of yourself, take care of your money’ is the official theme of Global Money Week 2021. This theme highlights the importance of building financial resilience and staying healthy in the current context.
To support this campaign a host of resources are available for free on the Natwest Money Sense website to teach young people financial awareness through a variety of money topics.
Downloadable lesson plans, videos, presentations and activities can be accessed for the following age groups: 5 – 8yrs, 8 – 12yrs, 12 – 16yrs and there is a Money Sense topic map for each Key Stage 1 – 5 to help guide teachers through the extensive range of resources.
Money Sense has been awarded the Financial Education Quality Mark and has been created with input from practising teachers to support the curriculum.
