Congratulations to Histon and Impington Brook Primary School for providing many opportunities for the pupils’ voices to influence, as appropriate, changes and improvements to policies and practices. The children clearly value and learn from their school experiences and as a result have made viable suggestions for creating a healthy school and for improving the school meal options. It is evident that a whole school approach to health and wellbeing has been embedded throughout the curriculum and there is a constant drive and commitment amongst the staff to implement a range of initiatives to enable the pupils to acquire confidence, develop their resilience and make healthier choices. Further to this the school’s diverse and inclusive physical activity provision is exemplary and deserves a special mention as this clearly requires a lot of staff dedication and time to sustain this level of activity.
