The Alcohol Education Trust is an early-intervention charity working across the UK to support schools, youth organisations and parents in keeping young people safe around alcohol. It provides free, highly-evidenced and award-winning resources, training, support and lesson plans and workshops including:
- Teacher Workbook- including lesson plans, games and activities organised by topic and year group to help teachers deliver high-quality alcohol education lessons
- ‘Alcohol and You’ guide for students featuring top tips, factual information and advice on how to stay safe around alcohol
- ‘Talking to Kids’ parent/carer guide which includes factual information, help and advice on how to keep children safe around alcohol
- Activity Box including laminated activity cards and BAFTA-winning ‘Just a Few Drinks’ DVD. Usually £65, this is available free of charge to those working with pupils with SEN/who are looked after
- www.alcoholeducationtrust.org containing a wealth of resources for teachers including film clips and worksheets.
- www.talkaboutalcohol.com is a pupil-facing interactive online learning zone and features fun games and activities including an online nightclub.
- Set of six ready-prepared lesson plans with accompanying PowerPoints – these lessons make delivering enjoyable and effective alcohol education easy and minimise the need for planning and preparation.
