Helping parents & carers to support young people with self-harming behaviours in Cambridgeshire

As children grow up, they can become involved in self-harming behaviours such as cutting, drinking, vaping, hair pulling and other risky activities. Delivered by NESSie and funded byCambridgeshire County Council, this is a free online workshop for parents and carers, extended family, friends or anyone who is
supporting young people with self-harming behaviours.

This workshop is an opportunity to develop an insight related to triggers, thoughts and emotions behind self-harming behaviour. It will explore and develop a positive and more confident approach to keeping young people safe and offer a chance to identify useful strategies and resources. The session will explore current information for families about managing, signposting and supporting with appropriate interventions. It will also offer parents and carers a chance to ask open questions in a warm and supportive environment.
