During this pandemic, millions of us have experienced a mental health problem, or seen a loved one struggle. Some of us have seen our already fragile mental health plummet, while the support networks around us disappear. For them, for us and for you – we must take this chance to step up the fight for mental health. That means fighting for change, for fairness, for respect and for life-changing support. Mind have put together information for children and young people which offers a variety of support and guidance covering feeling’s, finding support, looking after your wellbeing, opening up, talking to your Doctor, as well as understanding CAMHS. Covid SuperHero
Sharing Parenting has created a ‘Covid SuperHero’ workbook for children. The book explains to children in a fun and visual way, why life has changed so much in the last year. The book is entitled ‘The Corona Hero Training Manual’ and it aims to help children understand how to keep safe, explore any feelings or anxieties they may have about the virus and how they can safely and positively prepare to return to school.
Full of bright illustrations, the book offers a variety of activities for children – from drawing/colouring to conducting experiments both indoors and out. The children are given ideas about what activities they might like to try to make themselves feel better alongside other useful advice and information.
Sharing Parenting is a community interest company based in Newmarket, Suffolk. It works in partnership with parents, carers, schools, children’s centres, community groups and the public to share good quality and reliable information and support.
