The Dhiverse SLIP Programme

SLIP stands for ‘Sex, the Law, and the Internet & Pornography’ and it’s an informative and educational programme funded by ‘BBC Children In Need’. It’s suitable for any young person, age 9 to 18, who, for whatever reason, did not engage, or is currently finding it difficult to engage in Relationships & Sex Education (secondary school) or Relationships Education (primary school).

To be eligible for SLIP, the young person’s lack of engagement must be impacting on their behaviour and attitude towards relationships and sex i.e. their behaviour and/or attitude is already putting them or others at risk, or could in the future if left unaddressed.

The programme is free to anyone in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough and there is a charge to people outside of these areas. Please visit the website:

During 2020, Dhiverse has made several adjustments to ensure that it can still deliver an effective and informative programme to the young people who are referred to them for support.

Since March, The SLIP Programme has mostly been delivered via video calls, to young people all over Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and other areas.

Young people have had the opportunity to receive sex education in the comfort of their own home or provision, without needing to search the Internet and duck and dive through unreliable websites.

Dhiverse hopes to be able to get back to seeing young people in person very soon!
